GYTA53 Optical Fiber Cable

The structure of the GYTA53 optical cable involves placing 250µm optical fibers into loose tubes made of high modulus materials, with the loose tubes filled with waterproof compounds. The cable core has a central metal strength member, which in some fiber counts, requires an additional layer of polyethylene (PE) extruded around the metal strength member. The loose tubes (and filler rods) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and circular cable core, with the interstices within the core filled with water-blocking compounds. After the plastic-coated aluminum tape (APL) is longitudinally wrapped, an inner polyethylene sheath is extruded. Then, double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally wrapped, followed by the extrusion of a polyethylene outer sheath to form the cable.
